Camera Critters

Hello everyone and welcome to my new photo site. I hope you enjoy.

I found this big guy on one my Hosta's out front of my house. It is getting close to the time when I cut them back. I am having second thoughts about cutting this Hosta back. I just hope he doesn't have any friend's who have taken up residence on any other one.

I didn't say it last week, but I will say it this week. This is my favorite time of the week. Not only is it the weekend, but we get to see other critters by visiting here.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Even though I really don't like spiders at all, I have to admit these are amazingly beautiful pics!

Very nice pictures...I don't want a spider on me but I like how they catch flies, etc.

Great shot! A little to close for my liking, though. Ha!

I played too :)

Spiders, I am not fond of. Nice shots but was only able to scroll quickly past them. I can't hardly stand to even look at pictures of them.

Yikes... that's one colorful spider! I'm not sure I'd want to get too close to that critter. Amazing pictures!

Beautiful shots! At least it's spinning away in your hostas and not right by your patio door, which seems to be their favorite spot here! LOL

Wonderful discovery and capture … appropriate choice for the Halloween season! I do enjoy watching spiders but haven’t had much success capturing them at work. My Camera Critters is at Small Reflections.
Hugs and blessings,

Excellent shot! I've seen other images of like spiders but I do believe this tops most I've seen. Great detail.
Some call it a sewing spider because of the zig-zag stitch.

Aren't these spiders just gorgeous? I love their vibrant colors, and they always catch my attention when I'm passing by one on a walk.

Great photos!!!

He's quite beautiful for a spider and I'd be staying pretty clear of him myself. hehe. Wonderful shots of him!

I DO NOT LIKE BUGS!!! It seems to be the theme of the week. Of course, being the "maverick" that I am, I choose to not use a bug. :)

Nice shots. I remember those spiders from my childhood in the Chicago area. We called them Banana Spiders back then. Don't see them where I live now.

I love these spiders and love your shots. :) How neat!

Those are great shots. The spider has lovely markings on it. It looks like it's spinning an elaborate web tapestry.

Great photos of the spiders, and I love your sky watch photos too. I didn't get time to check all of those out yet. I too love the waves!!

If I may give my US $.02:

This appears to be a Black and Yellow Argiope Argiope aurantia, which is a rather widespread species in the US.

Lovely captures!
