Camera Critters

Hello and Happy Easter Everyone.

I got my new camera this week. Not a fancy dancy one, but I am moving up from my little HP. I got an Olympus SP-565UZ. It's 10 mega pixel with a 20 zoom.

So needless to say, I have been playing. Of course my first picture was my baby, who was less than happy that mama got a new camera.

I love the annoyed look. Sorry about the red, but I have figured that feature out yet.

Yesterday was the kittens turn.

Ralphy & Yipper

Close up of Yipper

Yipper posing as a shy girl.
I know better then that.

Yipper trying to look annoyed,
but I think it was the sun in her eyes.

Mr. Cardinal.
I'm upset with myself that I didn't get his whole tail.
Yesterday I went to our local zoo. One of the exhibits is Bald Eagles. The story with the pair is a shotgun hunter shot them. They were rehabed, but the damage to the eye and wing area was to great to release them. This is upsetting. These birds should not be kept captivate. As much as I would like for them to be free, I know they wouldn't survive.
They have started to build a nest, which I didn't get a picture of. So maybe they will have eaglets that can be released.

So this is my very long contribution to critters this week. I hope I didn't bore you too much.

My furry critters and I are wishing everyone a very Happy Easter. And if you would like join in on the fun, click on the icon at the top.

I'm glad you included so many of your new pictures. Really love the one of your Baby. The eagle is pretty great too. And I enjoyed all in between.

Looks like your new camera is doing a nice job for you. Great close-ups. I always feel sad when I see an eagle in captivity, but when they've been injured, it gives them a place they can safely live and breed.

That beak on the Eagle looks dangerous!

Yipper reminds me of my old cat "PEZ", that same looks, she was a sneaky cat and was always coming up with ways to get into trouble while getting the other cat Ikyls to do the dirty work. Happy Easter

Terrific range of photos. It's always great to have good subjects to shoot when you get a new camera.

I love the shot of Ralphy & Yipper together - I think it's so cool how cats will often "reflect" one another - our cats look like mirror images all the time when hanging out :)

I always say It's the photographer who thinks the images the camera just captured them. You have thought out these beautifully.
