Camera Critters

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone had a good week.
Last week while on vacation, I visited a new place. It is a State park in New Jersey called Corson's Inlet. It is a very nice peaceful place that I will return to in the future.
Anyway, while taking everything in, I came across this critter, just posing for a picture.
Walking a bit further, I heard a bird calling. I was not familiar with the call, so I slowed my pace scanning the trees.

This is what I saw.

I believe that is is the same bird from the first photo.
So here's where I need your help. I don't no what bird it is. I think it is some type of sandpiper, but don't no which. I did go through the bird books, but they all looked the same to me.

Have a good weekend.

Wonderful shots! It certainly does look the same as the first. I'm thinking sandpiper too but I couldn't tell you for sure. I bet someone will know.

My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

How long was it? I'm really curious to find out. It's very elegant and proud. What a perfect round breast. Good job!
